WTPN event report Feb-2025

During the month of February WTPN were out and about hosting and attending a variety of local events to spread the word on apprenticeships and drive healthy discussions!

WTPN’s February events kicked off with Anthony Impey’s 100 Business Challenge roundtable, bringing together SMEs from across the West of England to discuss apprenticeships. The discussion highlighted their powerful impact on businesses while identifying key areas for improvement. The insights shared were invaluable to drive change in the region to support business growth via Apprenticeships. Every perspective moves us closer to a stronger, more effective apprenticeship system—which is why WTPN is committed to hosting more of these dynamic roundtables throughout 2025. Next up, we hosted Progress Together: How to Cultivate a Learning and Evolving Workforce at Rocketmakers in Bath. A fantastic morning packed with insights, collaboration, and real life success stories. This event was all about showing businesses how apprenticeships can have significant impact on individuals and businesses, with fantastic speakers Alice Macleod, Frazer Barnett, and Elly Rowley bringing their expertise to the table. There was great energy in the room as local small business owners walked away with fresh ideas and practical takeaways to fuel their growth!

Finally for February 2025 we were invited to speak at West of England Combined Authorities Good Employment Charter, the theme: Upskill. WTPN was joined by both UWE and University of Bristol to discuss ways your business can tap into local talent. This was a brilliant space to highlight how Apprenticeships can create progression opportunities for your existing workforce!
